day 01 | a song
day 02 | a picture
day 03 | a book/ebook/fanfic
day 04 | a site
day 05 | a youtube clip
day 06 | a quote
day 07 | whatever tickles your fancy--- I may have been born just plain white trash but Fancy was name.
Book: The Lords of Discipline by Pat Conroy. Not Porn! Lots of people think that, given the title, my tastes, and my willingness to babble about those tastes. Lit fic, and a life-changer. A line on the first page, ...sailboats caught in the cool amber of the afternoon.. inspired me to write well--- why write there were sailboats on the water when they can be caught in cool amber? It inspired me to seek out well-written books and not settle for crappy writing just because I happen to reading genre stories or porn. Good writing only improves a story.
LoD is flat-out a great story too. I fail to advertise that whenever I'm babbling about the prose. It's a big story, full of big themes yet it unfolds the way life does, in seemingly undramatic, unworldly chunks. The betrayal at the end made me barf, I was that invested with the characters and I felt that betrayal along with them.
Moar picture: I plan to consider macros funny way after everyone else has moved on.

Moar song: The greatest song ever, actually. Start Wearing Purple Gogol Bordello.
