Day 02 - A book that you've read more than 3 times: By the Shores of Silver Lake Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I re-read this series every few years. Total comfort reading. As a kid, On the Banks of Plum Creek was my favorite, but as an adult BtSoSL has overtaken it. This is the book where Laura emerges from a fiesty kid into her own person yet she still hasn't started with the race issues/women's rights/weird hatred of her sister-in-law that mar the later books.
As a kid I read them at face value, and they're good books at face value. As adult, I got the subtext, and the subtle ways she discussed the hardships of Prairie life, and the series felt richer to me.
