List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
I have nowhere to host the songs I'm enjoying, so I'll simply provide some links.
7. To Live and Die in LBI Lifter Puller
Sample Lyrics:
She's says she's waiting on the steady type, but then she disappears with the eye-patch guy.
6. Highway Patrolman Dar Williams
Sample Lyrics:
I got a brother named Frankie, and Frankie ain't no good
The album this is on, Badlands: A tribute to Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, is killer. Dar Williams, Hank III, Ani Difranco... I force a limit of 3 play throughs on this cd. Otherwise, it'd be all I listen to.
5,4,3: Only You Can Walk Away; Name; Wrapped Up in Cellophane Peter Himmelman
Sample Lyrics:
Fate has left us gasping again
I was really into Pete during late highschool, early college. Recently, I've been back into his hard. When I was a kid, I loved him for the angst. Now that I've got some life behind me, I'm re-appreciating him for the weariness.
2. Seven Year Ache Rosanne Cash. (Couldn't find a trustworthy link)
Sample Lyrics:
Face down in a memory but feeling all right
Bonus: it's also fun to sing the title as "Severe Ear Ache"
1. After the Fall Limited Warranty
Wee!Opera was such a mark for LW back in the day. Imagine my joy when I discovered LW in MP3 format. Download their entire discography. The sugar-soaked new-wavish stuff they preformed on 'Star Search', the sugar-soaked "Deep" stuff of their middle albums, the sugar-soaked, angst-ridden "Fuck! hair metal is taking over the charts" last gasps of their end efforts.
I tag anyone who wants to do it.
