My subconscious sucks
Jan. 26th, 2006 04:53 pmSo last night, I had a brillant, incredibly-detailed, angst-ridden, hugely-plotted dream about... He-Man.
Short, not-brillant, lacking in incredible details, angst hardly mention, version of the plot: He-Man wasn't his usual blond and pastal self. In my dream, he was middle-aged and sickly. When crazed Skeletor ( a sorceror who went mad trying to attain bodily perfection) attacked his kingdom, Adam and his people fled into the forest. There they reacquainted themselves with nature and relearned the magic needed to defeat Skeletor. There was all sorts of interaction with lesser characters, and odd, deeply-sad bits of He-man canon kept showing up as little subplots. The dream felt like I was watching an actual war that was later overly-romanitized into the He-man stories.
I woke up, and I was like "What an incredible plot! I need to write that."
Then I was like, "Ack! No! I'm not writing Masters of the Universe fan fiction."
