I have fallen to 2714th place. Great is my woe. Few are my consolations. I blame Triple H.

Co-workers went out of their way to be annoying today.

Evidence A. The muffin tray.

Someone brings in a tray of muffins, bagels, scones etc. Co-workers descend upon it. Defensless pastries are whacked in half; some merely have a quarter of their flesh carved out. By the time my lazy self gets there, all that is left is the hacked upon carcasses. Now, I understand not wanting to eat an entire baseball-sized muffin. But IF I ONLY WANT HALF OF A MUFFIN, I TAKE THE REMAINING HALF OF AN ALREADY SPLIT MUFFIN. I DO NOT CUT IN HALF ANOTHER MUFFIN. There were 4 muffins with quarter pieces taken out of them, the edges already getting stale and dry. Grr. And no brushing nuts or other disliked toppings back onto the tray. Do your topping removal over the trash can. KTHXBYE

Evidence B. The "pen" email.

A co-worker sent out an email claiming she could not find her pen, and has anyone seen it. Ok, there are 65 billion pens in our office. If none of those make a suitable replacement, come see me. I will give you a $1.19 to go downstairs to the gift shop and buy a new one.

Evidence C. The printer.

The printer outside my office is the most used printer. IT, OMG, RUNS OUT OF PAPER SOMETIMES. Each time it runs out of paper, there's drama. OMG!!!111 WHAT ARE YOU PRINTING! OMG! MY REPORT IS GOING TO GET DROPPED. OMG!! WHY DIDN"T YOU CHECK BEFORE YOU PRINTED. SOMEBODY CHECK THE QUEUE. OMG!!11

Drama outside my office. Twice weekly. When the thing runs out of toner, it's like a PPV.

I guess I should count myself lucky that muffins and pens are the biggest annoyances of my day.

Onto the very stupid theory, which I have also emailed Feklar the lawyer over.

I'm wondering if a stockholder wrote fan fiction featuring "his" company's trademarked characters would that person be less sue-able? In a diluted way, the fan fic author is using his own property. I'm totally clueless about copyright and shareholder responsibility laws.

I'm guessing NO because liability works in both directions.
