New living room furniture! Chaise couch and arm chair, not the color I wanted. I would have prefered moss green or black or something earthy. But, it seemed like in the furniture world out of the big three: color, style and price, you get to pick two. Size was an issue too. Our house is from the '20s and the rooms are small. No big furniture for us, yet that's what's mostly out there for living room stuff.
So, with the stuff we got, we like the style and the price was well under what I had budgeted. The color -- sandstone-- was lighter than I wanted. We're messy and we have a cat. But the other two color choices were iffy too. Cocoa, we thought, would be too much brown with our dark wood furniture and floors and trim. Atlantic was a grey-blue that didn't match what we already have. Plus, it felt very den or cottage-ish, and this was for our main floor living room.
I will miss our old kooky green chair with the black swirls.

... Says the girl with the cherry-red living room set. Heh.
