Fandom: Wrestling.
Favorite Ship: Ugh. Seriously.
Things I'm most grateful for:
1. Tilt-a-whirl backbreakers. Yes, there are far flashier moves, and no, I don't think the TaWBB is cooler. It's just that so much of wrestling is stomp-stomp-punch-punch-finisher. It's fun to see the lesser moves busted out, now and again. See also: Russian Leg Sweep, Suicide Planchas. Moonsaults.
2. Porn. Quality, believable stuff is all but gone these days. And that is a tragedy. When I joined fandom, I joked that wrestlefic combined my 3 favorite hobbys: wrestling, writing, and m/m. I want it to be like that again.
3. Christian. The snark. The angry wearing of clothes that either totally rock or look as though he got them at a DEB clearance outlet.
4. The really good matches. It's a cliche to say Benoit/Angle at the Rumble, but man. Those rare matches that make you stand up and clap, that make you so damn happy to *get* wrestling.
5. When wrestling is unintentionally funny. Terrible, I know, to enjoy snickering at others' earnest work. But seriously, how is Koslov in his white panties sneaking up on a people and scowling so stereotypically not funny.
