Back to the world of the living
Feb. 4th, 2007 10:36 amMisery: I was a churling dervish all week.
Also, South Dakota always brings the drama. Always.
Writing-wise:
Realization: A story I sent to beta came back with a suggestion for a total re-write. So I decided before I re-write, I need to do some heavy thinking-through. The first place I start that kind of work is with the characters-- the usual stuff what brought them to this story?, is the story a logical turn of events for them?, etc. And then it dawned on me, I spend a lot of energy fitting character and events together just so... but fiction is often about character and events not fitting. When I looked at my story from that perspective, the character motivations and push of the story just fell into place for me. Relief!
Creative end: I've been casting about for a plot for an M. Hardy story forever. And finally, the beginning of one struck me in the midst of all my puking this week. Just the beginning though, so it's more like a situation rather than a plot. I have no middle, and no clue of the end. Which is opposite of how I concoct plots. Usually the end comes with the beginning, and the middle is me having a blast trying to connect points A and Z. I'm very whee! Though. I haven't had a wigglepants AU plot in forever.
The week in wrestling: ( Dx does Dallas. Well not really. But you know that would have been an apt title if Hunter‘s quad hadn‘t crapped out )
( Impact )
( Smackdown is supposed to be the best wrestling show on. What is going on? )
