Post a list of 10 books/movies/TV shows that you've had a fannish love of at some time in your life.
-- Have your friends guess your favorite character from each one.
-- You can cross out the show/movie/book and put the character when someone guesses
1.WWE/WWF M. Hardy
2.WCW Chris Jericho
3. ECW (Original)
4. TNA
5. Limited Warranty
6. Duran Duran
7. Firefly/Serenity
8.The Monkees Peter
9. Arrested Developement
10. Uh...
1. One book that changed your life?
Mucho Mojo (Joe R. Lansdale) Really well-crafted, pro-white trash, balls-out writing. There are other brains out there that think like mine. Yay!
2. One book you have read more than once?
Gone With the Wind. It's ginormous, but easily re-readable. So much happens that a re-read is like a trip down memory lane.
3. One book you would want on a desert island?
Getting Rescued From Deserted Islands For Dummies.
4. One book that made you laugh?
Candygirl (Diablo Cody). ... alphabetizing the fist-fuck movies*...
*They all start with "F"
5. One book that made you cry?
The Lords of Discipline (Pat Conroy). The ending wrecked me.
6. One book you wish had been written?
Any of my aborted attempts at novels, especially The Taco King Lame title, yes. It's a story I've been trying to sort of out my imagination for years.
7. One book you wish had never had been written?
Wow. Kinda evil question. I'll go with a kinda-evil answer. If any of my rivals or ex-boyfriends or wives of ex-boyfriends ever writes a book. *is petty*
8. One book you are currently reading?
Birds of America (Lorrie Moore)
9. One book you have been meaning to read?
Magical Thinking Augusten Burroughs. I loved Running With Scissors, and I loved the follow-up Dry for not trying to top the crazy and instead being it's own funny account. I'm eager to get to Magical Thinking, but I'm also scared it won't be as good as the others.
