Weekend of Meme
Aug. 7th, 2011 04:38 pm22 - Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
I've done a couple of kink memes and I tried to get a flashfic one going a couple of Christmases past. Other than that, nah. I write way, way, way too slowly for one. And I write way too much for myself. I felt pretty fricking guilty about Jericho/Christian cross-dressing fic I posted. It was a good story, but it went against fannish expectations, and I assume the OPs expectations, and I couldn't help but feel if someone ever answered my occasional whines for Taker/Matt non-con, with Matt taking Taker to the woodshed, I'd feel pretty disappointed. So yeah. Fests are something I'm better off not participating in.
23 - When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
Anywhere I think it's appropriate to post. Usually that means a couple of lj comms, the SML, a couple of Yahoo groups that are most likely dead, my site TheRopeOpera.
24 - Betaing - How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
I am Opera Beta Slayer. I think I've worn out half of my flist. My stuff needs heavy, heavy beta just to get it to a draft that can be revised. If there's a grammar gaff, yo I'll make it; if there's a wrong direction for a plot to go, yo I'll take it.
