18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?

Odd places, usually. I'm not trying to be arty and vague and mysterious. Random things inspire random connections which, in turn, inspire stories.

A little more concretely, I get a lot of inspiration from songs. BUT, boldfaced but, usually I have a half-creeping notion of a story or a character, and I seek out music that shares that notion. Once I find that right bit of poetry, I'm off. Cuts You Up by Peter Murphy was what gelled Taker for "The Prince" and nudged that story from random scenes into fully realized story and characterization.

19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?

I'm too plodding. I get things in random snippets: dialogue, a setting, a character sulking. I write down anything that seems super important or "right", but over all, more ideas have come to me from hair-tearing sessions with an outline, than bunnies hopping merrily pass.

20 –Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?

Sometimes. I came *thisclose* to submitting stuff to Cypress Club. I like worlds to play in, and Cypress had that.

I'll use this as a platform for my second favorite wank: fic begets fic. While stories may not directly inspire others, a thriving, well-written fandom will do more for creativity than a divided, low-standards one.

21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?

Yes. "The King" and "With the Light" came from "The Prince". WtL was more a spin-off, same world, some shared events, but its focus was on different characters. As much as I mock the title, I think it's one of my better stories.

"The King" is not one of my better stories. I call it my Peter Jackson fic, meaning just because I've created a wide, wonderful world doesn't mean I need to tell the reader every little single thing about it. If you've ever watched Peter Jackson's King Kong, you'll know what I mean.

That wasn't the story's only problem. I tried to edit it up for a grand re-release, but bleh. It's terrible in so many ways. I'm glad I wrote it; I learned a lot from it... eventually. But, it's not good.
