I'm sorta grumpy-face at wrestling right now. On a pundit board, someone made joking comparisions between Benoit and M. Hardy. In 2007, Benoit was drafted to ECW, in a program with Punk, scheduled to wrestle a championship match at the next PPV, and McMahon had the limo explosion going on. 2008, Matt gets drafted to ECW, tags with Punk, has a championship match at the upcoming PPV, and McMahon has his scaffolding drama.
Setting aside all the Lita, bibles, Benoit black humor/wank/what-have-you, what's irritating me is the sameness. A year later, and it's pure repetition of storylines THAT WERE SHITTY THE FIRST TIME AROUND. Championship matches at PPVs, of course, happen all the time. But do we need a McMahon death drama again?
Is the storyline going to be THAT FUCKING AWESOME that it was worth sitting on for year, then dragging it out when there are so many valid reasons to let it gather dust? I'd love to be proved wrong on this. I'd love for it to not be craptacular. I'm not holding out any hopes, though.
Also, The Precious wrestles like his boots are too small.
