Jan. 18th, 2007 04:50 pmWWE released a bunch of people hardly anyone knew was still on the roster. Including (but, I'm guessing not limited to):
Sylvester Terkay: Meh, moveset of Chris Masters, flexibility of Batista, fly-way hairof M. Hardy.
Jazz: Stupid move on WWE's part. She could of been the ugly meanie terrorizing all the bikini models. Or, given WWE's love of being 9mos to 2 years behind pop culture, she could have rocked a New York from Flavor of Love gimmick.
Rodney Mack: I guess he and Jazz are a package deal.
Gymyni: Honestly, I thought they had been released a while ago.
Doug and Danny Basham: Wasn't a huge fan of either (though I liked both okay), but WWE dropped the ball on these guys. Solid performers, moved well between gimmicks, probably on the low end of the payscale. Seems if it was budgetary decision, there's a ton of others who free up more dough. And if it was a "creative has nothing for you" decision, well, if Creative can't come up with anything for capable, flexible, seasoned guys to do, that sounds like a problem with Creative's ability to be creative.
Tony Marmaluke. Came the closest to getting an awwwww response out of me. I liked him. And I worry his pink slip foretells pinkslips for more Originals.
Al Snow. Just in a wrestling capacity. He still trains folks or something. Odd that they'd even announce that.
Gangrel. I heard a while back that they rehired this guy. Didn't ever see him, assumed the deal fell through. I guess it fell s l o w l y .
