Babble- mostly food, some badfic snark
Nov. 26th, 2006 06:22 pmSo Frala's post sent me scurrying to the grocery store. FRESH SPINACH!!!!! Finally.
To celebrate, I made an awesome salad.
Spinach
Leftover roasted turkey
Red onion
Dried figs and cherries
Muenster cheese
Walnuts
Cherry Vinaigrette
So good. It could have used another (bland) vegetable, maybe sprouts or chickpeas, to counterbalance the sweetness and up the nutritionals.
And, as long as I'm babbling about food, I'm going to reccBolthouse's Mocha Protein drink. So yummy, way cheaper than stuff from Starbucks, the sweetness comes from juice instead of corn syrup, and it's only 178 calories per serving. Kills ice cream/coffee drink cravings dead.
I'm looking for tea reccs. It's cold now, so I'm not drinking enough water. Cups of hot tea help me get in fluids. I tend to like spicy teas over sweet, and I'm lazy so I like bags over loose teas. Has anyone tried those tea pyramids?
There are some masterpieces on LadyJackyl's board right now. The poem that rhymes "raped" and "wiped" wins, but it had lots of close competition. Yugoma looks to break my heart with a gigling (sic) M. Hardy and C.M Punk story.
