Nerd, Snark, SD! & memes
Sep. 10th, 2006 01:37 pmNerd! Played a Star Wars campaign last night, and only I can be such a nerd that my character's drama stressed me. I was playing a clone trooper who was under orders to protect and serve 3 Jedis. We were in the company of a bad guy and I was like "We need to kill him." I rarely kill things in rpgs, and even less rarely want to kill them. I get hung up on the whole even-if-he's-a-bad-guy-I'm-still-murdering-someone aspect. The other players were like "No, we'll wait." and because my character was under orders to follow Jedi orders, I had to listen. Oh the agony of having to follow bad orders and keep my mouth shut.
The highlight of the game (for me) was my blatant channeling of Samoa Joe. When my character was getting chastised for showing up late, I said "When [my character] is late, time better slow the fuck down." Sadly, I did not think to say "Fuck you, honkey. I'll do what I want." when ordered to not kill the bad guy.
Snark! At the gym yesterday, I saw a women circle her car around and around and around the parking lot, looking for a spot close to the door. Hey lady, how about you consider the tiny stroll to be part of your workout.
SD! Saw the Precious. Finally. Ahhhh. Was angered greatly by his jobbing to the Miz. Of course some of that may have been residual anger from finding out that London and Spanky are now being managed by ASHLEY OF ALL ODIOUS PEOPLE. Gawd, couldn't she take her sideways cap and Claire's Boutique-ish face piercing and go work at Charlotte Russe or Orange Julius? Or at the very least, swap valet roles with Lita? She and Edge can believe they're all edgy and baddass and etc. while Lita can have the slutty older chick fucking two kooky guys vibe going. And then an OMG-Edge-stole-Matt's-next-woman-too storyline can come about, and the Precious can job to other people besides Miz.
