--(only understandable to those who read Fanthropology) Omg, 8th grade was like soooo 6 years ago.

--I'm grumpy-faced at all the woo!woo! over Willie Nelson's cover of Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other. Some yay! works: Willie is the man, and mainstream attention is satisfying. But, that song was covered more than a decade ago by a gay punk band called Pansy Division, and so far, they haven't got one teeny sip of the love Willie's been getting.

Which sucks because they are a truly excellent band. Pile Up, the cd CAFSFoEA is on also features covers of Liz Phair's "Flower" and Nirvana's "Smells like Queer (sic) Spirit, and some person I've never heard of's (I'm a) Cocksucking Faggot. There's also the fan-fiction-like Bill and Ted's Homosexual Adventure. Go love them. /indier-than-thou

--It's well known that I have NO love for Cena. None. But I get no satisfaction from reading IWC bashings of him. Every single post goes on and on about how the only screams he gets is from kids and women. The smart men know so much bettter. Silly women, stop liking wrestlers for their looks. Scream for the same wrestlers the men do. They know better!

--Impact has gone the way of Raw and Smackdown. Right storylines, wrong characters. They need to switch Jackie and Alex's storylines. Jackie stalking Sting... omg!LoveME! would be FUNNY. And Alex in fetish gear, having to deal with Jarrett calling him "toots", would be a good lesson in the many ways attempted blackmail can backfire.

--Got spoiled on Smackdown thanks to someone on the friendslist. Not cool. Consider yourself on The List, right now. Smackdown airs a day earlier in Canada. Be kind, use a cut.

Spoiled for me Smackdown )

So. Damn. Glorious

Edit: Synopsis:
December 2001: Vince McMahon steps out of a snowy night into a diner in upstate New York for a meeting with old friend Phil Thomson, now a highly placed government official. Thomson has a strange proposition: creating a new covert black-ops group using the Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment. The WWE's talented men and women are perfect. Highly skilled athletes with the ideal cover, they travel all across the country and the globe; no one would find it unusual to find them in a town one day and gone the next. The government would train and support the wrestlers in every way possible except one: no one must know the truth. March 2006: The Superstars have been handed their latest assignment - take down a commercial-grade methyl-amphetamine plant that is bankrolling terrorist activities in Europe. Their mission seems simple and straightforward, until a member of their team is taken prisoner. Now all that they've worked so hard for is in jeopardy, and one of their own might be killed... "
