My side of the family celebrated Xmas yesterday. Also was my baby brother's birthday. I found some pretty cool gifts for people and since I always get the crappy presents (this year was no exception), I had more fun watching people open their presents than I did opening mine.

Went fairly tolerable considering it's my family. The only real tragedy of the day was the lack of ice cream cake. Growing up, DQ ice cream cake was a birthday staple. My sibs and I were salivating for it. My parents were like "Ice cream cake? Why would we get that for Xmas dinner?????"

Onto other Christmas notes, had a Christmas present spoiled today. A package from The Loft Literary Center came for my husband. Unless he's been writing behind my back, I got the workshop I asked for.

Yesterday it was -9 F. Minus 9. I thought my car was going to cry when I started it.

Tonight, Raw is the Best of. I'm hoping for lots of snarky, rumpled Christian. Then again, when am I not hoping for lots of snarky, rumpled Christianmaking the hell out with Jericho And maybe glimpses of M. Hardy.


Why must ice cream makers ruin perfectly good mocha fudge with almonds. Why? Almonds are good, but they get in the way of the ice cream.
